Mailing Equipment Operator - inserter and inkjet-2nd Shift

The operator responsible for running our inkjet addressing and inserting machines in our direct mail operation.
This includes the setup and operation of typical mail house equipment according to instructions and in a safe manner.
The technician will sort, tray, and strap finished mail pieces in compliance with US Postal standards.
The technician will work closely with operational leaders to manage print processes and mailing deadlines.
The technician should have high attention to detail and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions Set up, operate and audit print and mail insertion equipment:
, Inserters, Postage meters, Envelope printers, Scales, Pitney Bowes Mail Management systems and USPS and other shipping systems.
Inspect and ensure all printed materials meet established standards including all postal regulations Perform daily maintenance and provide basic troubleshooting of machines as well as making any minor machine adjustments for efficient operation.
Prepare mail and packages for external shipment and coordinate deliveries and pick-ups (may include USPS pickup/delivery) Perform quality checks on outbound mail Be on call to travel to the post office to correct any problems with the mail Requirements Education:
High school or equivalent
Experience:
Basic understanding of typical mailing inkjet and inserting machines Basic understanding of USPS postal requirements and guidelines Behavioral/Skill Requirements:
Extreme attention to detail Ability to repeatedly produce high-quality results Ability to function in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus and control of workflows.
A fast learner and can become proficient with a large volume of information quickly Excited to build and adapt to the adventures of working for a rapidly expanding company Be extremely mechanically inclined and have the history to prove it A committed team player - helping approach, including listening skills, patience, respect, and empathy Time management skills Driver's License Able to safely lift 30lb packages and move pallets using typical pallet jacks Working Conditions and Additional Requirements Fast paced environment handling multiple demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand.
