Job Description We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team in our Digital Press and Digital Bindery Department as a lead operator of our portfolio of digital printing presses and accompanying bindery equipment The right candidate must have a basic understanding of printing and graphics terminology, excellent computer skills as well as some exposure to handling digital files.
We will train the candidate to run our wide format and digital devices (Ricoh, Xerox, Konica Minolta, Canon or similar digital presses) About Our Company PDC Graphics is suburban Philadelphia based commercial printing company providing a wide range of offset, digital, inkjet, mailing and fulfillment solutions to our customers POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Operate our portfolio of digital printing presses Read and interpret work orders for job production.
A keen eye to quality and detail in order to monitor jobs to ensure print quality and accuracy to client specifications.
Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance equipment.
Ensure production goals are met MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Ability to multi-task Ability to recognize and visually differentiate colors.
Detail-oriented and organized with an ability to prioritize work and minimize production downtime Understanding of Mac operating systems and general file management.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Mechanically inclined, good with hands Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to lift and move paper to load and unload the machines Keep work areas neat, clean and keep materials and tools organized Work overtime as needed.
